Meet Melissa White, M.A., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
It is a joy to help children develop communication and language skills, which help build a foundation for lifelong learning! My approach to therapy is to create meaningful goals based on an evaluation, and to tailor therapy based on clients’ individual interests, strengths, and needs. I enjoy collaborating with families and other professionals, and witnessing both children and families develop skills and confidence throughout the therapy process.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Oklahoma and my Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Iowa. I have additional training in Orton-Gillingham methods for reading instruction. I have experience working with children of all ages in the home, clinic, and school settings.
When I am not working with children and families, I like to hike, read, and spend time with family.
